Super happy to have found a wonderful music teacher in our neighborhood. My 12 year old sister has always wanted to learn how to play the piano. Thank you Mike, for helping her develop her skills and making her feel confident and excited for her next class. Mike is super friendly, professional and very reliable if you have any questions and concerns. I highly recommend Mike!! Thank you Mike!!

About Mid City Music School

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?

Piano, Guitar, Vocals, Drums, Bass, and Ukulele lessons from not only a fun, patient, dedicated teacher, but a professional musician who plays 130 shows a year. I teach you exactly what you want to learn and can write custom arrangements of any song that will suit your level, from beginner to advanced. If you're not sure what you want to learn, I can lead the way! I also hold student concerts in real, fun music venues instead of stuffy recital halls.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?

After teaching in several music schools, I found that a lot of teachers and schools have a cookie cutter approach. I started this school because I know that no one student is the same. I constantly adapt and tailor lessons to suit the interests, goals, and learning style of every student.

What do you love most about your job?

Watching my students perform at my student concerts, then seeing the look on their face as they're applauded by the whole room. Blowing students minds when they realize how easy certain things can be with the right tricks.

What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?

(student after learning a whole song in a few minutes) “That's it? You just blew my mind!”
