Q:

Regarding brake service included in Midas' Courtesy Check: Would that include any of the following: ~ Replace pads or linings if necessary ~ Inspect calipers ~ Inspect master cylinder ~ Repack front wheel bearings ~ Machine drums/rotors ~ Road test ? Regarding alignment service included in Midas' Courtesy Check: Would that include either of the following: ~ Check & adjust toe ~ Check camber & caster ? Lastly, any extra fee for lube chassis? Thanks!

Alyssa L.  asked on  Jan 9, 2012

A:

The Midas Courtesy Check includes a visual brake check. If a visual check warrants it, a service writer will offer/recommend a comprehensive brake evaluation. The Midas Courtesy Check that is included with this Groupon offer does not include an alignment or the replacement of any brake parts.

Kevin M.  from  Merchant  replied on  Jan 9, 2012

A:

Our courtesy check is a visual brake inspection and not a replacement of parts. We do provide a full 55 point brake evaluation that can assess the parts in question. In reference to your alignment question you are basically performing a wheel alignment. Most cars today do not require chassis lubrication.

Q:

Will there be an extra charge for a Honda Civic Hybrid?

Cecilia  asked on  Jan 9, 2012

A:

Some hybrids take 0w20 oil. You need to know what oil goes in that vehicle. If it takes 5w 20 you will probably be ok. Let us know what year your car is.

Kevin M.  from  Merchant  replied on  Jan 9, 2012

A:

The Honda Civic Hybrid is a 2007 model year.

Q:

Do I have to drop my car off for the day or can I wait while this service is being done like in Jiffy Lube?

Winnie S.  asked on  Jan 9, 2012

A:

You can wait for your service. Most of our shops have many customer amenities such as WiFi, television, magazines and more. We perform a much more thorough and comprehensive inspection on your vehicle than most “quick oil change” shops. (If your going to the doctor’s office for a cold, you should have a certified professional inform you whether all of your vitals are in normal operating ranges.) For the fastest and most convenient service, we recommend that you call the shop to schedule an appointment prior to your visit.
