$89 for a Two-Hour Trail Ride for Two through Middleton Place ($180 Value)

This two-hour guided trail ride explores Middleton Place—a National Historic Landmark that features more than 65 acres of precisely manicured gardens. Ancient camellias blossom in winter months, and warmer times usher in blooms from azaleas, magnolias, crepe myrtles, and fragrant roses. The property backs up to the Ashley River, which creates natural ponds that integrate seamlessly into the bucolic landscape. It is also common for riders to encounter wildlife such as marsh birds, eagles, deer, and alligators.

About Middleton Stables

Originally part of Henry Middleton’s private estate, Middleton Equestrian Center is now a separate parcel of more than 80 lush acres of pastoral oak trees and pastures. Guides lead trail rides that explore the adjacent Middleton Place, as well as other destinations that include abandoned rice fields, cypress swamps, and nearly 6,000 acres of wooded trails. An experienced coaching team leads lessons in a variety of styles, including hunter/jumper and dressage. More than 50 horses populate the property, and can often be found grazing in the 14 pastures, prancing in the dressage and jumping arenas, or nestling on the facility’s three barns.
