First opened as a tavern in 1750, the unassuming waterfront destination honors its centuries of history with dishes honoring some of Maryland's oldest culinary tradition. That means plenty of seafood; you'll find everything from crisp crab cakes and pan-seared rockfish to oysters on the half shell served from the extensive raw bar. Steaks and sandwiches also pepper the menu, with the filet mignon oscar pairing juicy cuts of tenderloin with lump crab meat and a rich béarnaise sauce. Of course, no colonial tavern would be complete without entertainment; live musicians frequently appear in one of the Middleton's secluded corners, filling the space with lively music while diners eat and drink.
