I have never been able to get in touch with anyone to schedule the shooting range part of this class. The phone numbers go no where. When I email, it shoots back an automatic reply that says someone will contact me within 24 hours. Nada thing. Very disappointed in this scam and Groupon. DO NOT BUY!!!

The MN hybrid class was not bad other than the fact it took them almost 2 weeks to get the video to actually work for me. By that time my scheduled range time had come and gone. When they did finally get the video to work the next available range time was 2 months out. If you’re going to take this to renew I suggest going elsewhere unless you have 2-3 month to kill. Range is only in Maple Grove.

We have been unable to complete this course although we have been charged for it. Three of us were able to take the video (hybrid) portion of the course, but we cannot get into the voucher to sign up for the shooting range to complete the course. We cannot get to the part of scheduling at a location near us in Minnesota. We need help to use this groupon and can't get any help or answers. There are 4 groupons which we paid for which if we cannot use, we have lost our money.

The class lets students take the classroom portion online, then attend in person for shooting qualification. In an official online course that takes 90 minutes and allows for stopping and starting, certified instructors teach students the basics of using a handgun and legal knowledge on handgun possession, concealment, and self-defense. Completion of the class allows graduates to apply for the Minnesota permit-to-carry as well as licenses in 31 states .
Midwest Carry Academy
With a hassle-free virtual course, Midwest Carry Academy lets people meet the requirements they need to apply for their permit to carry or concealed-carry weapons permit without leaving their computer. The 90-minute course emphasizes educated, responsible gun ownership, familiarizing students with the ins and outs of gun safety and shooting basics. With the hybrid class, students can take the classroom portion of the course online, then schedule their shooting qualification. After taking this course, graduates are able to apply for permits in other states as well, including the Florida non-resident or Arizona non-resident permits.

The Rentals
Students may bring their own handguns or rent one of the 9mm or .22 caliber pistols available on-site. Rentals are $10 and include the ammunition required to complete the shooting qualification. Additional ammunition may be purchased.
