During laser skin-resurfacing treatments, Palomar's Artisan Aesthetic System pulses and scatters light beams across the face at a high rate, leaving microscopic holes in their wake. The nonablative process is designed to spur the growth of new tissue to improve the appearance of wrinkles, uneven skin tone, and acne scars, all while leaving the skin’s surface intact. The process requires one to two days of downtime, and Midwest Health Center recommends scheduling two to three sessions spaced three to four weeks apart for best results.
