My daughter hasn’t taken the class yet, but I know she’ll love it! Lisa from the Dyer location was extremely helpful and kind helping me figure out the registration process and their availability of classes was fantastic! Can’t wait for her to experience it, I can tell it’s going to be great!

The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We however were disappointed in the wearing of masks.

Positives - You can tell they scrubbed down the equipment and have replaced the laces in the skates. They have a person assigned to watching over the participants during open skate. He did a great job trying to guide the enthusiastic young hockey skaters to be aware of their surroundings and asked them to adjust their choices to make it safer for the less experienced people on the ice. Music was turned on during last half of the open skate which made it more relaxing and fun. They has seals to rent for littles (toddlers) to have an opportunity to get out on the ice ($5 charge). Great price to have this as a resource. Negatives - ice was in rough shape about 15 minutes into the open skate so for my new to learn skaters struggled to feel confident on some of the rougher areas in the rink. I would love to see the Zamboni run before the open skate session.

My kids went for cosmic skate and the lights were not working and the music was not playing so it was not an overly fun Saturday night for them. However, I called to complain and the owner did give them a return visit for free so definitely worth trying again. That is how I felt it should have been handled so I was very happy with the outcome.

About Midwest Training and Ice Center

The sounds of hockey sticks slapping pucks, ice skates carving figure eights, and trampoline springs squeaking fill Midwest Training and Ice Center. Adding to the soundscape, experienced staff members shout words of encouragement during adult and youth activities that unfold throughout the 34,000-square-foot gymnastics training facility and the Olympic-sized ice arena.

To help visitors grab an edge on their competition, personal trainers stage workouts in the fitness center, which includes strength and cardio equipment, group classes, and locker rooms equipped with a sauna—one of the best ways to relax post workout, and the second best way to cook a turkey. Though the facility focuses on competitive-training programs, its doors also open for public skates, open gyms, youth summer camps, and birthday parties.
