During each educational presentation, Mike Dupuy will introduce visitors to his birds of prey while sharing personal anecdotes, interesting facts, and embarrassing pictures of the birds when they were eggs. Demonstrations will take place on Friday, November 9, at 6:30 p.m., and Saturday, November 10 at noon and 3 p.m. Each guest may also take a picture with a live hawk on his or her arm.<p>

About Mike Dupuy Falconry
Meet Your Master Falconer: Mike Dupuy was born in Haiti, the same birthplace as John James Audubon. Mike and his family moved to the United States when he was 6 years-old. At age 9 Mike read "My Side of the Mountain," by Jean Craighead George. The story of a boy and a falcon surviving on a mountain ignited Mike's passion for the art and sport of falconry and inspired him to become a Master Falconer. It was the discovery of his passion for falconry through reading that inspires Mike to encourage others to read and explore their passions.
As a teenage boy, Mike became an apprentice of the ornithologist Dr. Heinz Meng, and started gaining scientific knowledge about wild birds. Now, many years later, Mike is a licensed Master Falconer and a professional public speaker with over 20 years of experience, taking pride in being one of the country's top falconry/bird of prey experts.
