In 1955, Milano's Italian Restaurant was known as Milano's Pizza Place. For its namesake, Emidio Milano, the humble little restaurant fulfilled the promise of the American Dream that lured him away from Italy in the first place. Emidio's son Lino took over in 1968, and while the named changed and the business grew, the food at Milano's still represents the homey, comforting flavors of the Italian-American experience. Today, Milano's honors its pizza roots with specialty and custom pies, which count house-made sauce and creamy mozzarella as their common elements.
