Q:

what is the oldest house in Mill Hill? Is it open for the tour?

Mary I.  asked on  Nov 13, 2012

A:

Probably, the oldest house in Mill Hill is the Douglass House, where General Washington met with his generals after the 2nd Battle of Trenton in 1777. This building is owned by the City of Trenton and is currently under renovation and will not be on the tour. Most of the houses in Mill Hill date from the same time - the 1870's. However, they are very different inside, which makes the tour so interesting.

Q:

What if the weather is bad, will they change the date or refund your money

Rosanne G.  asked on  Nov 13, 2012

A:

If the tour cannot be held on December 1 because of weather, it will be held on the following day, Sunday, December 2. We have only had really bad weather (a snowstorm) once for the tour. If the tour date does need to be changed, the information will be on our website.
