- $299 for enrollment for one child in Camp Creative ($500 value)
Camp is held Monday through Friday, August 3–14, 9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. During camp, kids ages 7–12 try their hand at various performing and visual arts. A camp performance and art exhibit takes place on August 12 at 2:30 p.m. for campers’ family and friends. At this unique camp, young artists engage in a full day of structured arts-intensive classes in a variety of performing and visual arts mediums. Under the guidance of professional teaching artists, campers develop foundational acting techniques, sing popular rock and folk songs, choreograph routines, and explore art through hands-on art making. Campers engage in all aspects of producing the show including rehearsals, costume development, set building, and gallery hanging.
Mill Valley Community Center
A lot of the action at Mill Valley Community Center takes place in the pool. In the aquatic oasis, whose roof can be retracted so swimmers can enjoy clear summer days, adults swim laps or soak in a hot tub while youngsters take swim lessons, zip down the water slide, or learn how to play water polo. Elsewhere, the aquatics and fitness center features a fitness floor full of essential cardio and strength-training equipment. Personal trainers set clients on the proper path toward fitness, and group classes include yoga, Pilates, spin, and water exercise and therapy. (A childcare room is available if you want to exercise alone.) For events that don't require a lot of athleticism—unless your 80-year-old grandfather does a vigorous waltz—the center offers a sunny and airy banquet hall for craft fairs, ballroom dancing, weddings, and community events
