Fueled by the impassioned teachings of owner Diane Barnes, MindBody Health & the Mindful Living Studio bolsters well being with holistic education, including mini retreats that explore such topics as nutrition and balanced mind-body connections. Cultivating the Garden of Health allows attendees to begin the year anew without bribing Dick Clark to count down from 10 by covering a number of methods for integrating holistic living skills into everyday routines.

With an emphasis on balancing mind-body connections through proper nutrition, Mood and Food: The Power of Mindful Eating allows pupils to sample a spectrum of healthful bites that encompasses all six traditional ayurvedic tastes, including thin mint, while explaining how yogic techniques and breathing exercises can control hunger urges. Yogic Lifestyle Skills explores the restorative and scientific focus of yoga nidra, which seeks to rebalance brain chemistry with controlled movements and centering meditation.

Each session has enough space to accommodate up to 70 guests or one health-conscious brontosaurus and includes spa water and a mindful snack for refreshment. Visitors leave at the end of the day with a packet of course materials and three downloadable audio programs that allow them to continue practice from the comfort of their home or nearest stereo-repair shop.
