Great place to take toddler during hot summer months. She's having a great time there! Appreciate being able to try MoBu with a Groupon. We will definitely become regulars!

What You'll Get

It's difficult to keep kids entertained—"disappearing eye" tricks run the risk of permanently traumatizing youths, and there are a limited number of episodes of The Lawrence Welk Show. Today's Groupon keeps kids engaged without the use of musical variety shows: for $25, you get an eight-hour Open Play punch card (a $56 value) for kids age five and younger at MoBu Kids in Falls Church. The time on the punch card can be split between more than one child, but it will be punched accordingly; for example, if a parent brings their two children, the punch card will be punched twice, leaving six hours remaining.

MoBu Kids, formerly known as Monkey Business, opens up its play studio to kids age five and younger. With this deal, adults will get eight hours of Open Play for their young kin to enjoy MoBu Kids' play area, comprised of safe-to-scale, jungle-themed, sculptured-foam play pieces designed and built by TivoliToo. Let your son slide and tumble through the open-play area as he re-creates the dramatic search for Dr. David Livingstone, or watch as your daughter demonstrates basic concepts of Newtonian mechanics by somersaulting across the padded gymnastics mat flooring. With other children present, Open Play presents a game-changing opportunity in a child's social life, since they interact with fellow toddlers and tykes and learn firsthand the crucial principles of sharing and "playing nice."

MoBu Kids, as Monkey Business, was named the Washington, DC, area's "Best Indoor Playspace" in Nickelodeon's Parents' Picks 2009. The kid-friendly, eco-friendly (MoBu Kids preaches conserving energy and recycling) fun zone holds Open Play sessions on various dates at various times—check the schedule for upcoming Open Play slots.

About MoBu Kids

MoBu Kids, an indoor playground and classroom for kids that has been voted in the past ParentsConnect Parents' Picks Best Kids' Party Place and Best Indoor Playspace. During open play, youngsters scramble atop custom-designed foam playground equipment and roll around safe gymnastics flooring like Olympic-level tumbleweeds. They also test footholds in a rock-climbing wall and zoom down the slide of a petite tree house.

A more structured blend of learning and recreation characterizes small classes led by energetic instructors. Music and movement strengthens the link between notes and motion, bolstering language or motor and social skills according to age. Art-class masterpieces spring from the colorful depictions in a storybook, and ballet encourages dancers to forge creative steps, like the stubbed toe hop. Similar themes run through summer camps and private birthday parties.
