Fiancées or celebrants of any other momentous occasion can let the historic Mohegan Manor host an all-inclusive event package that allows up to 75 guests to dine, drink, and beat-box Wagner's bridal chorus. The elegantly understated W.F. Morris Ballroom, with its gleaming wood floor and walls that change color to match the bridesmaids' dresses, hosts heartfelt speeches and solemn vows before releasing attendees into the O.M. Bigelow Lounge and reception area. For an hour, guests can mingle and refine their ceremonial chicken dances at an open-bar reception stocked with wine, beer, and mixed drinks while soaking in the historic ambiance of the meticulously restored manor.
Then, all proceed, traipse, or somersault into a buffet dinner to the sounds of a professional DJ. After salad is served, diners line up for a menu of beef and chicken and a choice of pasta, potato, and vegetable dishes, and forks dive into dessert. Newlyweds are then treated to a limo ride from the banquet hall to the hotel. Celebrations are concluded with a one-night stay at The Red Mill Inn, or, depending on availability, another nearby hotel, where they can finally jump on the bed as spouses.
For an additional fee, customers can upgrade the banquet package to host up to 135 guests.
Built by renowned architect Ward Wellington Ward in 1910, Mohegan Manor’s recent renovations restored grandeur to the 100-year-old building. The manor's classic, rich menu and matching interior make it an ideal space for hosting wedding and union ceremonies, receptions, and parties. A main ballroom dazzles with a 22-foot domed ceiling, hardwood floors, and a 15'x30' mural painted with the first oils to extend a hand of friendship toward water. The four-story edifice also houses two traditional restaurants, Mohegan Manor and Club Sushi & Steaks. Live entertainment can be enjoyed on weekends at Club Sushi & Steaks.
