The rowdy atmosphere isn't the only thing that makes Mokai Nightclub feel like a carnival. The entire design of the space evokes the dazzle and awe of a circus, from the LED-lit big top above the bar to the fluorescent carousel horses sprinkled throughout. But this circus is decidedly not for families. Patrons come to sip on colorful cocktails while adult features play on giant screens. The organized chaos is enhanced with a DJ booth pumping out hip hop, rock, and house music. Poles on raised platforms in the crowd host dancers, and 18 VIP seating areas provide table service while patrons take in the sights. The place has been known to attract celebrities: Cameron Diaz, Tom Cruise, and Lenny Kravitz have all made appearances.
