For a holiday concert with a Hibernian twist, look no further than Lúnasa's Christmas From Ireland at Montgomery College Cultural Arts Center. Called an "Irish music dream team" by Folk Roots magazine, the ensemble's inventive arrangements and bass-driven grooves have steered Irish acoustic music into surprising new territories, while remaining true to its Gaelic roots. The group's use of traditional instruments like Uilleann pipes, fiddles, flutes and whistles -- and their incredible energy -- give brash new life to traditional holiday tunes and classic Irish aires. Now "the new gods of Irish music" (Mojo Magazine) will be joined onstage by "one of the true glories of Irish music today" (The Wall Street Journal), vocalist Karan Casey. So if Dublin isn't in your travel plans this holiday season, head to the Cultural Arts Center for Christmas From Ireland.
