$40 for a Fused-Glass Art Class ($95 Value)
With one-on-one guidance from an instructor, students learn how to shape, cut, and fuse together multicolored pieces of spaghetti, frit, and powdered glass to create a 10”x10” sheet of glass art. After eight hours in a fiery kiln, finished pieces are ready for pickup the morning after the class. The studio can also ship finished pieces to students for an additional fee. All materials are included.
Local artist and glass master Dan Watts opened the doors of MorArt more than 4 years ago with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that attracted the likes of actress Tippi Hedren of Hitchcock's The Birds fame. After the confetti settled and the balloon outlines of Hitchcock's silhouette popped, Lincoln City was left with a haven for hands-on glass making.
Dan teaches the art of glass fusing during one-on-one sessions or group classes. Equipping students with the tools, materials, and knowledge necessary, he lets them roam free to breathe life into their own refractive creations. Though he remains on-hand for advice, instruction, and assistance, the onus lies on each individual to create a masterpiece worthy of mantel display. Once students finish, Dan fires up his kiln's bedchamber so that each piece can stay and solidify overnight. Masterworks can be shipped for an additional fee, delivered express via the studio's catapult, or picked up from the store along with a few pieces of Dan's original work.

“Be aware that it will take 1 - 2 days to fire your project so allow enough time if you are vacationing to be able to pick it up before you leave for home or have it shipped. This was our first time here and it was lots of fun. It was a little difficult to cut the glass but the instructors helped when needed and offered support through out the class.”
“Be prepared to spend more $$....but only if you want to. There are a lot of patterns that would look incredible on clear class but upgrading is SO FUN!”
“Just go you will have a fun time!”
