Q:

I have a friend in town for an upcoming weekend and we'd love to ride. We're both experienced riders and just don't want to walk for 90 minutes. Is there more than one guide so that experienced riders can enjoy themselves, too?

Erin S.  asked on  Aug 27, 2012

A:

If you would like a private ride you can make those arrangements we do that, but not for the featured offers. If you would like you can contact us morrisshadowmt@aol and set something up.

Q:

is the ride a full 90mins?

patti n.  asked on  Aug 25, 2012

A:

Trail Ride Only - $65 This is a great ride for those that are comfortable around a horse and have ridden before. The min age for this ride is 12 years old. This does not include a lesson. When all riders are mounted we head out for the trail. You will be given brief instruction on how to stop and steer the horse you are on. This trail goes thru the woods, meadow, grasslands, wetland over look and urban views. All Trail rides require a reservation made through our calendar and a non-refundable $5 booking fee. Please allow 2 hours of time for these events. They many be less or more depending upon the group. This time includes registration (filling out paperwork), helmet fitting, assigning horses, mounting, lesson and or trail ride . Please be on time or early. We like to get the group started as close to the scheduled time as possible. Please remember we do have a weight restriction 250 lbs. This is for the safety of you and our horses.

My son is 7 and a half, would he be able to do the introductory lesson and trail ride? He's been trail riding a few times but on horses that could do the trail in their sleep :). And he did a week of beginner lessons a couple of years ago. Thanks!

Georgie R.  asked on  Aug 25, 2012

A:

Q:

Do I need to take the intro lesson before the trail ride?

Jeff C.  asked on  Aug 25, 2012

A:

Please read the descritption of the intro lesson/ trail ride. On my website morrisshadowmt.com under trail ride. This package is designed for those who have not ridden, have not ridden in a long time and would like to have a better understanding and feel on the horse before they venture onto the trail. We also allolw younger children on this ride than on the trail only ride. This provides a combination so that the very beginner can better enjoy thier experience on a horse and also explore the trail. The trail ride only package would be a more complicated ride for the very novice and is best suited for someone who has at the very least ridden before and is comfortable around a horse.
