However, this time when I purchased two new Groupons for $49 each for two houses that I own, for $49 each (full price would have been $99 each), they (MOSQUITO JOES OF SOUTHERN MARYLAND) gave me a hard time. They refused to accept my GROUPON coupon saying that I was a previous customer. (Then why didn't they or GROUPON CORP prevent GROUPON from allowing me to purchase it in the first place?). After that, MOSQUITO JOES OF SOUTHERN MARYLAND refused to give me a refund too. They asked me to go get the refund from GROUPON. When I contacted GROUPON (within the week), they told me that they do not give refunds beyond the first three days. So, I was caught between a rock and a rocky mountain. No place to go. And then I started writing to the Headquarters of Mosquito Joes, And, then I had to post in GOOGLE REVIEWS, YELP REVIEWS, and YAHOO REVIEWS. But MOSQUITO JOES OF SOUTHERN MARYLAND would not budge, nor cared to take care of this customer. Thus, I thought I had lost the $98 (for two houses) that I had spent, as neither GROUPON.com nor MOSQUITO JOES OF SOUTHERN MARYLAND wanted to take care of this customer nor wanted to provide me a discount. I thought that I had suffered a loss and was going to be cheated as a customer. After a lot of online complaining, I eventually heard back from the Headquarters of Mosquito Joe's. They said they would look into it. And about a day after that, MOSQUITO JOES OF SOUTHERN MARYLAND called. They said that they had changed my mind. They stated that they were willing to have me spend another $50 each therefore paying full price of $99 for one service (per house). I had no choice but to agree to their crazy demands. MOSQUITO JOES OF SOUTHERN MARYLAND came by in a few days and did treatments for two houses (I had paid an exorbitant $99 (total payment) each for two houses - a total of $198) that I had made. However, their treatment was completed in 10 mins each and they left without letting me know. In a few days, it became clear that their treatment did not work as it was done in a hurry. I called MOSQUITO JOES OF SOUTHERN MARYLAND and asked them to do what their warranty states in that they will repeat their service if a customer is not satisfied. But this time, MOSQUITO JOES OF SOUTHERN MARYLAND, took it one step further, and told me that there is no such warranty. They asked me to purchase another treatment each for $99 each per house. I thought this was too much. Clearly, MOSQUITO JOES OF SOUTHERN MARYLAND was stepping out and being out of line with their parent company and franchisor (MOSQUITO JOES HEADQUARTERS). But it was clear that MOSQUITO JOES OF SOUTHERN MARYLAND did not care for their franchisor. Everything seemed out of place in this experience. It seemed clear that GROUPON had become a baaaad company (by not refunding me when I called them). And it seemed that MOSQUITO JOES OF SOUTHERN MARYLAND was even worse by giving me all kinds of hard times and trouble.
