When someone's getting all up in your grill, the best thing to say is "You better step off! The surface temperature of grills can approach 550 degrees Fahrenheit—you shouldn't be standing on that thing!" Today's Groupon demonstrates a high regard for safety by leaving the grilling to the professionals: for $10, you get $20 worth of kosher fare at Moti’s Grill, located inside KosherMart in Rockville, Maryland. This deal expires on June 9, 2011.
Moti’s Grill placates abdominal earthquakes by maintaining lunch and dinner menus lined with grilled Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine as well as New York–style deli fare. Tongue-plunge into an Israeli specialty (served with Israeli salad, tahini, cabbage salad, and hot peppers or pickles), such as a falafel pita ($6.99–$7.99) or platter ($9.99–10.99), or wield skewers while devouring the kifta kebab—lean ground beef and lamb mixed with Israeli spices and grilled over an open flame ($8.99+). Homemade sandwiches, served on a choice of bread and accompanied by coleslaw and a pickle, are also available, or choose to dance with house-cured meats including hot or cold pastrami ($8.99–$9.99). To complicate the trip in a tasty fashion, ferociously fork through a piece of multileveled baklava ($3.99) or simply pat your belly while rubbing the head of the grill's gracious chefs.
Eighteen Yelpers give Moti's Grill (formerly known as Moti’s Falafel Stand) a near-perfect average of 4.5 stars:
- I left here smiling - not just because the food was delicious (which it was), but also because we felt very welcome and taken care of here. – Puja L., 9/14/10
- The falafel is warm, with a slight crispy outer layer. The pita bread is the best I have ever tried, it smells and tastes like heaven. – Ellyn Q., 7/23/10
