Led by certified instructor Sunday Alia Stinson, Pilates classes at Motive 8 help prop up postures, stretch out bodies, and transform sagging stomachs into rock-solid cores. The two-hour intro class skips cursory first-date topics like favorite movie and least-favorite state bird, instead diving straight into basic exercise forms, breathing techniques, and other fundamentals of the Pilates training system. Alternately, students with previous Pilates experience can opt to test their abs’ mettle by sweating in 10 group sessions or picking a fight with a belligerent washboard.
