Produced by Motor Trend, the Orange County International Auto Show greets car lovers with an array of automotive attractions that highlight the most popular new rides, exotic vehicles, and classic models. Visitors grip wheels, shift into gear, and test drive more than 40 new vehicles from manufacturers such as Buick, GMC, and Volkswagen, including the 21st Century Volkswagen Beetle, which just recently hatched from a shell of bumper stickers. Exotic-car displays treat eyes to up-close peaks of some of the world's most coveted horseless buggies, such as the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador, and a celebrity car showcase rolls out upgraded vehicles owned by music and sports stars. The 2012 Honda CR-V Concept will make its world debut, and the 2012 Acura TSX its public debut, and will join fellow vehicles on display such as the Gumpert Apollo, 2012 Acura TL S.H.I.E.L.D., and the 2013 Lexus GS. At Camp Jeep Anaheim, professional four-by-four drivers invite patrons to strap into off-road vehicles for an adventure over logs, stumps, and a 35-degree mountain climb, and Green Garage Associates beckons passersby to learn the latest in petroleum-free mobility. Hank the Ford Robot comes to life to entertain crowds, and visitors register for a chance to win up to $100,000 in cash or five high-fives from Hank.

Guests can coordinate their visit with one of the show's special one-day events to meet and greet with special guests. On Friday, fans meet the Los Angeles Laker Girls, and Saturday welcomes the chance to catch up with the child star of Volkswagen's mini Darth Vader commercial, members of the Anaheim Bolts, and King Robota, an 8-foot tall comic-bot that elicits chuckles from visitors and raucous howling from their wristwatches. Admission to the auto show is free for kids 12 and younger, $5 for students with an ID, and $6 for senior citizens 62 and older.
