Mountain Education & Development
With diverse backgrounds and a wide breadth of knowledge, the instructors at Mountain Education & Development lead rock-climbing expeditions and land-management initiatives on an international scale, as well as to locations throughout Utah such as Salt Lake City, Moab, and St. George. On many of these excursions, they train climbers in a range of programs that exceed the guidelines of the American Mountain Guides Association. They may lead outdoor explorers toward certification during up to 72-hour courses in wilderness first aid and CPR, or teach single- and multiday courses in single or multipitch outdoor rock climbing or ice climbing or belay-climbing self-rescue. They also train students to follow in their footsteps through climbing instructor training, including 24-hour AMGA single-pitch-instructor training and assessment.
