The moustache—or the "Mo," as it's known in Australia—and the month of November—or "November," as it's known in Australia—join forces each year for Movember, a movement extolling the virtues of fine moustachery while also bringing attention to men's health issues. The rules for Movember are clear-cut: start Nov. 1 clean-shaven, and then spend the rest of the month growing out your handlebar, pencil-thin, or Fu Manchu. The moustache then becomes the ribbon for men’s health, helping to raise awareness and funds for cancers that traditionally affect males. Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, the men of Movember, or Mo Bros, must commit to growing a moustache for 30 days. Funds raised through Movember benefit the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LIVESTRONG.
Join G-Team and grow a moustache this November to bring attention to the 1 in 2 men who will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. G-Team members must commit to raise at least $100 for the Movember cause. In addition to having a fancy upper-lip 'do and contributing to a worthy cause, those raising at least $100 will also receive a free ticket to the Movember Gala Parte at The Highball on Thursday, Dec. 2, where Mo Bros can show off their follicular facialwear. The first 50 G-Team members who raise $100 will also get a free Jim BBQ Movember t-shirt. When this campaign tips, members will receive instructions on how to register.
Women can also get involved with Movember—as Mo Sistas, they can register, make a donation, and offer unconditional support and grooming tips to the Mo Bro in their life. Join this campaign and start growing out the 'stache for a worthy and life-changing cause.
