What You'll Get
Driving demands quick reflexes, constant alertness, and nerves of steel, like playing sudoku or trying to eat a live tiger. Put your spry skills to the test with today’s Groupon: for $195, you get enrollment in teen driving safety school at MSR Houston, located in Angleton (a $395 value). Classes run from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on the following dates:
- June 7, 15, 22, and 27
- July 6, 12, 20, and 28
- August 3, 9, 13, and 18
MSR Houston’s teen driving safety school grants new and aspiring motorists ages 16–20 the chance to experience extreme situations under the guidance of qualified and licensed instructors. Classes cover basics such as mirror placement, seat positioning, and avoidance of flying turtle shells. Additionally, the driving school gives students practice with tricky vehicular situations, such as maneuvering on wet roads and mastering antilock braking systems. A skid-pad area and challenging closed courses demonstrate the limitations of automobiles and steering via telepathy, and complimentary lunches provided during lessons maximize participants' brain-to-foot reflexes. Small class sizes of 6 to 12 pupils ensure one-on-one attention, including chances to drive with an instructor. Six months of driving experience is preferred.

About MSR Houston
Becoming a stock car racer requires commitment and hard work, but at MSR Houston, all you have to do to ride in a stock car is open its door. Alternatively, visitors can hop aboard 9 HP Honda go-karts, rounding the 0.7-mile karting track’s 17 turns and zooming down its quarter-mile straightaway at top speeds of more than 45 mph. These drives follow a precedent set by professionals; the 383-acre center is a sanctioned test site for the Izod Indy Car Series, Firestone Indy Lights, and Formula 2000, among many others.
