We got an amazing deal!!! Half the price and the weather was perfect! We are hoping they make the zip lining a little longer.. but besides that MT.Baldy is my favorite close destination

Good experience as far as ski lift. But tubing was long lines and small space.

What You'll Get

The call of the wild is like a call from an elderly grandparent: though you can’t quite make out what’s being said, you feel better about yourself when you answer. Pick up nature's phone with today's Groupon: for $29, you get one all-day lift pass at Mt. Baldy (a $64 value). Lifts operate seven days a week with varying hours daily, check the online schedule for details. All lift operation is subject to weather conditions.

Mt. Baldy's ski lifts gently propel patrons through the San Gabriel Mountains over the 26 slopes and 2,100 square feet that cover Mt. Baldy's expansive terrain. Suspended up to 1,300 feet in the air, ski bunnies can gaze at the snowy tundra passing below or read cursive poetry slalomed into the mountain’s side. Four chairlifts glide up the mountain’s sides, dropping skiers and snowboarders at a variety of terrain ranging from gentle slopes to natural quarterpipes. Intermediate slip-sliders weave through fresh powder turns on chair number one’s Sugar Pine or thread their way through tree lines off chair number four's Turkey Shoot. Below chair number three, experts rip down one of Thunder Mountain’s double-black-diamond runs, and beginners dig out their snow legs along Mullin’s Mile. A permanent terrain park with a few slider features and a small jump beckons to trick riders leaping off chair number two while prepping the snow-snake footprints of new skiers for exhilarating whooshes down Bonanza run.

Ski lifts and hiking trails blaze through mountainsides, affording glimpses of historical mining facilities and natural wonders, such as canyons and Mother Nature's secret collection of acre-long coffee spoons. While en route, skiers can keep retinas peeled for wildlife in the form of bighorn sheep and rattlesnakes. There are no gas stations in Mt. Baldy, so visitors should plan accordingly.

About Mt. Baldy

From this high up, the world seems small and compact, framing the ocean, mountains, and desert in the same field of vision. Though Mt. Baldy's soaring peaks seem to shrink the globe to the size of a globe, they also grant access to nature's majesty throughout the year. Four chairlifts gently propel skiers through the San Gabriel Mountains over the trails and 600 acres of skiable earth ranging from gentle slopes to natural quarter pipes. In the warmer months, hiking trails blaze through mountainsides, affording glimpses of historical mining facilities and natural wonders, such as canyons, fauna such as bighorn sheep, and Mother Nature's secret collection of acre-long coffee spoons.
