What You'll Get
Practicing martial arts can help you get out of sticky situations, such as chopping through the amber that encases you. Secure a fit defense with today's Groupon: for $39, you get 20 passes to one of yoga, Thai-kickboxing, or mixed-martial-arts classes at Muay Thai Niagara (a $212.50 value).
In one of the largest matted training facilities in Ontario, Muay Thai Niagara's experienced instructors coach students in the arts of fitness-focused yoga, Thai kickboxing, and mixed martial arts. Sophie Costantini's yoga class is a combination of Hatha and Vinyasa techniques, which aim to release squatting tension and stress into the stratosphere while limbering limbs and strengthening cores. Patrons can enroll in the coed Thai-kickboxing class, which harnesses elements of the "science of the eight limbs" and deploys them to condition figures and bolster cardio health, dropping weight and increasing the ability to intimidate zoo animals. Alternatively, combine forms by choosing the mixed-martial-arts class, which blends techniques from Muay Thai, jiu-jitsu, boxing, and wrestling in an exciting muscle-toning medley. Consult the schedule for class days and times. Muay Thai Niagara also supports local causes and runs the Battle for a Cure IV cancer fundraiser, with half of the proceeds going to the Regional Walker Family Cancer Centre.
