For 3 to 6 miles, runners make their way through an undeveloped tract of land in Mascotte, as trees and shrubs offer safe haven from two paintball snipers firing acrylic ammo. Runners can also bring their own beer, and each person receives a to-be-announced giveaway gift.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the July 14 event in Mascotte has been cancelled. Instead, Groupon holders can choose to participate in the Prison Break Run in Tallahassee on July 28 or July 29, or the Paint Wars event in Tampa on August 25.

About Mud, Sweat, and Beers
Runners for a Muddier Tomorrow challenges runners to conquer forests, water crossings, and mud in simulated prison escapes. At undeveloped locations, trails wind through felled trees and tall grass, letting participants choose to sprint, sneak through, or build a dam and never leave. Wielding paintball markers, snipers hide along each race aiming at participants. During events, Runners for a Muddier Tomorrow's staff mans rest stations. Here, they grill food, available for an additional fee, and pour complimentary beverages including sports drinks and water. The race organizers also look for new ways to innovate their competitions, hatching plans for other events such as mock zombie outbreaks.
