What You'll Get
A musician's personal energy invigorates the atmosphere of a concert, just as pyrotechnics enliven the closing comments of a parent-teacher conference. Embrace the magic of live performance with today's GrouponLive deal for a concert by The Mellotones on July 16 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Muir Murray Estate Winery in Wolfville. Choose from the following options:
• For $10, you get one general-admission concert ticket, a glass of wine, and a one-year wine-club membership for one (a $30 value.)
• For $18, you get two general-admission concert tickets, two glasses of wine, and a one-year wine-club membership for two (a $60 value).
The nine musicmen of The Mellotones toll high-energy dance classics by James Brown and other soulful songsters at an award-winning winery. Guests can shake their moneymakers and clap their moneyspenders on the lawn as bandleader Jeffery Mosher toots his sax and a four-piece horn section bugles funky breakdowns. In addition to performing at local clubs and weddings, The Mellotones have shared the stage with celebrities such as Blues Brother Dan Aykroyd, prompting fans to toast the band's chops with glasses of wine and tureens of gravy. A wine-club membership unlocks a vault of grape-flavoured wisdom, including notification about tastings and access to Muir Murray's wine library. Surrounded by sound-wave-saturated evening air and music critics' carrier pigeons, guests can also stroll on the winery's rolling green fields or wander onto decks overlooking scenic Cape Blomidon.

About Muir Murray Estate Winery
Muir Murray Estate Winery owners Jonathan and Lesley Murray use the region’s shorter growing periods to produce a unique blend of grapes rarely found in other climates. Due to their stringent process for selecting the finest grapes, the harvesting season on their 20-acre vineyard yields only about 1.5 tonnes of grapes per acre, which is about 2.5 tonnes less than the industry average. This results in a wine list of refined aromas and signature flavours, and a mouthfeel more pleasurable than either side of a velcro shoe-strap.
