What’s Your Wild? 5K
“What’s Your Wild?” isn’t just a fun name. Besides benefiting the Valley Zoo Development Society, the race takes place at the zoo itself, with runners and walkers starting at the east entrance, then finishing in the new central courtyard. After receiving an envious glare from the zoo’s Swift Fox, contestants enjoy fruit, muffins, drinks, and swag such as shirts and medals near the finish line. Everyone is encouraged to wear PJs, onezies, or animal costumes, and a 1K will start at 10:45 a.m. for those wishing to cover a shorter distance.
