During the one-woman shows performed by Murder is Served, writer and actress Barbara Fox dramatizes snack times with interactive, sleuth-inspiring mysteries held in public arenas and at private parties. The Art of Murder attracts audiences with a smorgasbord of cheese, chocolate, and soft drinks before roping them into a twisted tale of whodunit. Attendees attempt to solve the murder of a portrait painter by examining clues, reading given lines, asking questions, and polygraph testing the tablecloth. Each interactive show ends with the apprehension of an unsuspecting guest, who remains unaware of their given character’s murderous truth until the fictional cuffs latch.
Personal parties also spin a mysterious web among groups of up to 100 revelers at a location of choice. An ideal activity for office functions, birthday parties, or lengthy jury deliberations, private performances pin a crafted killing onto a single guest. Personal party hosts must provide their own hors d’oeuvres.

About Mystery On The Menu
The characters in Barbara Fox's original shows literally spring to life off the page, just in time to be murdered. Whether held as a public performance or commissioned for a private show, Mystery On The Menu productions challenge audience members to take a hands-on approach to solving the crime. And they should take an interest in the investigation—after all, they might be the culprit and not even know it. Attendees will be given lines to read, and must take on the responsibility of piecing together clues, interrogating fellow party members, and polygraph-testing the tablecloth themselves. Each interactive play ends with the apprehension of an unsuspecting guest, who remains unaware of their character's murderous truth until the fictional cuffs latch.
