Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland
Cleveland's Museum of Contemporary Art plays an urgent and exciting role in Cleveland’s cultural landscape. MOCA is ever-changing, introducing new exhibitions three times a year to keep its visitors challenged and engaged. Since 2012, the museum's new gem-like building has also been a part of the artistic experience; its geometric, black-mirror finish marks the United States debut of renowned international architect Farshid Moussavi. The building, as well as the artworks within it, stands as a symbol of the city’s renaissance everywhere from the New York Times to Fodor’s to Architectural Digest.
Currently On View: How to Remain Human, featuring 14 artists connected to Cleveland and the surrounding region, including neighboring cities in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. The show includes painting, collage, comics, sculpture, fashion design, poetry, video, sound, and an architectural installation.
Nearby: the museum sits in the heart of University Circle, a vibrant neighborhood that's home to august cultural institutions, upscale shopping, and a bustling restaurant scene.
