The only thing more fun than watching babies and toddlers make music is being the baby or toddler making music (unless you're riding a roller coaster). Plunge head-first into melodies with today's Groupon: for $15, you get a two-week sing-along session for a child and parent at Music Together of Naperville ($30 Value). There are locations in Aurora, Naperville, and Plainfield. Children between the ages of birth and 6 can participate in these classes.
At Music Together, young kids and adults get to make music together as a family. Each informal class session lasts 45 minutes, like a short shopping trip for the average person, and takes place once a week for two weeks. In the class, kids and parents play instruments, sing, dance, and chant like Green Day cheerleaders doing the pasodoble. Music Together is a great place to meet other families with kids the same age.
One of 12 teachers teaches the class. Many of the teachers are parents, and some have degrees in music education, proof that they're good with kids, knowledgeable about music, and good at Scottish accents. The class schedule is here.
