Each 40- to 45-minute boot camp begins with a warm-up as students stretch and limber up cold muscles on foam rollers. Workouts move on to an interval-based regimen of strength and cardio circuits. Participants hoist free weights, swing kettlebells, stretch resistance bands, heave heavy ropes, and perform circus tricks atop medicine balls. Trainers make modifications to the exercises to accommodate guests of any fitness level, and small classes of only 10–15 students give ample time for meeting personally with the trainer before and after sessions.

Muvement is as much a gym as it is a physical-fitness lab. Next, Jill draws on her background as a professional nutritionist to recommend a diet suited to the client’s unique metabolism, and explains how the body breaks down calories and nutrients. Even their fitness regimens take a holistic approach. Whether in group or personal-training sessions, functional movements using resistance bands, TRX suspension, and kettlebells incorporate multiple muscle groups and joints into each exercise, building a physique more balanced than two eggs riding a seesaw during the spring equinox.

The trainers are knowledgeable and the classes are challenging. The small group setting allows for participates to benefit from one to one instruction during classes. It's a great overall experience.
