What You'll Get
The mighty grizzly once ruled the Bear Republic, but you’ll no longer find Ursus californicus roaming the Santa Ana Mountains or along the Los Angeles River. The California grizzly bear became extinct in 1924 and serves as a cautionary tale for another apex predator: the mountain lion. The current exhibit at Muzeo in Anaheim, Cougars and Grizzlies: Sharing Their Path juxtaposes the fate of the California grizzly bear with the future of the mountain lion. An accompanying exhibit shows how The Transportation Corridor Agencies are keeping mountain lions and drivers safer through wildlife undercrossings and GPS tracking.
