Q:

When a video is transferred to DVD, what is the file type on the DVD?

Thomas  asked on  Nov 7, 2012

A:

The video is a compilation of files that make up a true, uncompressed 30-frame per second video. If you want to convert the DVD we make to a mpg or avi file, it is quite simple with a free video file conversion program such as Prism Video File converter. http://www.nchsoftware.com/prism/index.html. Hope this helps! -John

Q:

I have several very old 8mm film tapes (not camcorder), some are short, some are long. Do you transfer these? I'd like to put as much on a DVD as possible. Is this Groupon for 1 reel transfer only or for 1 resulting DVD? If only 1 reel, I see I can buy 2 groupons. How do I know how many tapes I can bring in and how much it would cost? Should I call you to discuss or schedule? How long would it take to do this? Possible by 11/26?

Q:

I have several (miniature?) cassettes that I filmed ona trip some ten or more years ago. I think that they are called 10mm. They are tucked away at the present, somewhere. Is your serice for one cassette, or how many? Thanks

Indrek L.  asked on  Nov 5, 2012

A:

They are probably 8mm camcorder tapes. (They might say Hi-8, or 8mm, or Sony 8 on the side of them) Yes, I can do them. If you want to bring them over I can do them for $15 each (the Groupon deal price) if you bring them in to my office directly. Thanks, call with any questions... John 919-622-1095
