Yes there is an additional shipping fee - but gee whiz they're sending live lobsters across the country! I have gotten dinner packages before - you just have to be aware of exactly what you're buying. You do have a choice of packages. I received a great dinner package - 2 , 1.5lb lobsters - live, 2 portions of the most delicious clam chowder, 2 crab cakes, 2 whoopie pies. And lobster shell crackers, and 2 butter warmers, butter and a lemon. And bibs and placemats on how to eat a lobster, great for guests who don't know how. I added diver scallops. We will have 2 or 3 dinners from that haul. The crab cakes and chowder are enough for a meal - just add salad or veggies and bread. Plus a lobster dinner and a scallop dinner. The lobsters arrived alive, but I've had them arrive dead before. They replaced them in a day. No questions. The scallops are so fresh you could use them for sashimi. The packaging was ingenious - they have gotten better at shipping in smaller boxes.
