Naru Sushi Bar
Here's a little-known fact: it's Brazil, not the United States, that's home to the largest Japanese population outside the island nation. If that's intriguing, you should head to Naru Sushi Bar for a sample of Japanese dishes made with Brazilian flair. Chef Souza, who hails from São Paulo, presides over a menu of all-you-can-eat sushi and make-your-own temaki, or hand rolls, in the shadow of the Orlando Eye ferris wheel.
In another unique twist, many of his more Brazilian-influenced options eschew rice and seaweed entirely: salmon and cream cheese are wrapped in a thin layer of octopus, for instance, and fruits like mango and strawberry envelop seafood for a touch of sweetness. There's also a vegetarian menu and a small selection of yakitori and udon, just waiting to be paired with a sakerinha—a rice-wine version of Brazil's national drink, the caipirinha.
