Nashville Comedy Theater harvests locally grown, 100% organic comedians from regular open-house workshops and improv classes, whipping them into a special recipe of highfalutin Shakespeare spontaneities and modern madcap improv games. "An All Improv Weekend" consists of two top-of-head-skimmed performances from the vast cast of comic comets; the first is a tangy blend of improvised games and exercises, the second is a cuff-culled one-act play in the style of Shakespeare. With the exception of April 23's Bard bash, all available shows will be iterations on the “An All Improv Weekend” one-two comedy combo. To honor the 447th birthday of the Bard, April 23’s show will feature a two-act, 90-minute improvised tribute to Shakespeare’s greatest skull-clutching, balcony-wooing, king-leering works. Performances are generally rated PG to PG-13.

Customer Reviews

I was expecting, basically, a comedy club. Not so, it was pretty much improv and they took what they had and made it funny. Yeah, I enjoyed it.

Great group of performers and I loved the addition of the up-to-the-minute additions with the computer graphics.
