Up to 14 guests ride in an air-conditioned van from eatery, brewery, or food truck to the next. They visit four to six stops, sampling specialties at each location; the amount they sample equals a meal. Tours often include tastings at a local brewery. Guests learn about the restaurant, chef, how the food is prepared, and other fun facts as narrated by the tour guide. See the descriptions of all the food tours.
Nashville Food Adventures
On Nashville Food Adventures' tours, participants face an interesting challenge. It's not finding excellent food in Nashville—that's like shooting fish in a barrel, thanks to the city's burgeoning foodie scene. No, the real struggle is deciding what style of food to try. The tours can focus on classic southern food, international cuisine, food truck eats, or even variations on a single dish. The company's adventurous tours scour the city for the superlative incarnation of a classic, such as pulled pork shoulder with slaw or Nashville's signature dish, a guitar full of shrimp 'n' grits.
Regardless of the exact tour, though, there are certain guarantees. Guides will take groups to between four and six local restaurants. An air-conditioned, 14-seat van will ferry patrons between stops. Perhaps most importantly, guides will keep the tours lively, share tidbits on the food, as well as the restaurants and their chefs.
