Q:

What happens at the end of the 2 month period. Do they fall off? Is it gradual? What is the cost for follow-up applications )touch-ups?)

A:

Great question! Eyelash extensions will last as long as your natural lashes. Natural eyelashes grow in and fall out on average every 5-8 weeks. Since eyelash extensions are attached to natural lashes, they will each shed whenever the natural lash they are attached to reaches the end of its growth cycle – which varies. Hope that helps!

Q:

Going away on a bike trip, so would not be able to do the mascara enhancement, would just the extensions be enough. Going for 2 months. My eyelashes are very light color, so thought the extensions might be enough. Can I use just regular mascara on them??

judith s.  asked on  Jan 20, 2013

A:

Mascara is typically not needed with lash extensions. Mascara should only be used when a touch-up is drawing near. Water-soluble mascara can be worn; however constant use of mascara may shorten the lifespan of lashes. Waterproof mascara is not recommended for use, as it will dissolve the bond with the lashes. NovaLash glycol and carbonate free mascara is specifically formulated for use on extensions without interfering with the adhesive. You can learn more on their FAQ page.
