What You'll Get
The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, but to make it that far you have to be disguised as baked goods. Commence covert cookie ops with today's Groupon: for $5, you get $10 worth of coffee, ice cream, and pastries at Natasha's Mulberry & Mott, located in Leawood.
Handcrafted confections and aromatic coffees decorate the charming Natasha's Mulberry & Mott storefront, channeling the vintage vibe and sophistication of a French patisserie. Each artfully rendered treat on the menu is handmade fresh daily by head pastry engineer Natasha Goellner, who uses her background in fine arts and classical culinary training to concoct elegant, delectable dainties. Arouse comatose taste buds with a miraculous pairing of the flaky pain au chocolate croissant ($2.75) with a tasty latte ($2.75), and then freeze the good feeling with a cryogenic mango sherbet ($4.95 per pint). The array of pastel-colored French macarons ($1.95) reflects the store's multihued interiors, and each strawberry éclair ($2.50) has been harvested fresh from Paris's strudel orchards. Outside, the delightful patio fosters al fresco conversation over a coffee ($1.50 small, $1.80 large).
Natasha Goellner of Natasha's Mulberry & Mott earned her store an award for "Best éclairs in Kansas" from the Kansas City Star. Five Yelpers give Natasha's Mulberry & Mott an average of three stars, and 76% of Urbanspooners like it:
- You won't believe you are out south when you step into the shop. It is like an Alice & Wonderland moment. With Louis Ghost chairs in one corner and a coffee bar and pastry display in the other, it all comes together with charm and sophistication. – jennifer j., Yelp
- We both got lattes and a croissant which were a perfect combo. I got the almond croissant and it was perfectly flaky and soft at the same time. – Lauren Z., Yelp
- Fortunately for Kansas Citians, pastry chef Natasha Goellner, who earned a grand diploma in pastry arts from the French Culinary Institute in New York, has mastered the Old World technique. Her éclairs are just one delight at Natasha’s Mulberry & Mott in Mission Farms. Other pastries that will transport your palate to the Right Bank include the pain au chocolat and almond macaroons. – Kansas City Star
