The layout of the material in the class is great. It starts out easy and builds with each module.

The National Institute for Genealogical Studies has genealogical classes for beginners, intermediate, and advanced researchers. They have a vast array of courses to choose from and if you are interested, you may work toward earning a certificate as a professional genealogist. I consider myself an intermediate level researcher. In the courses that I have taken, I found them to be very interesting, detailed, and thorough in advancing my knowledge of each course topic. I have taken courses at each level and have benefited from each. Their customer service is top-notch. When I have needed assistance, I have been able to use the online chat, as well as, calling to speak with a representative. They are very professional and understanding. I highly recommend these courses to anyone interested in genealogical studies/research.

The class provides a lot of information and in a way that applies it to your own genealogy. I’m taking my third class and amazed at what I am learning. I love the module format that gradually gets harder and that it has a deadline.
