Do I need to make reservations and how far out are you currently booking? I'm looking to do this on a specific date. Also, I've heard that it is illegal to touch a manatee and you advertise that you can 'gently pet them'.

Q:

I just purchased 2 of these Groupons yesterday. I have been trying to call for a reservation since 9:00 a.m. this morning and due to high call volume no one is answering. I also tried to book on your website and see that you are completely booked until September! What do you do in a case like this? I am very disappointed!

Leslie M.  asked on  Jun 25, 2013

A:

Please keep in mind that our phone line is averaging about 45 phone calls an hour with questions and scheduling. We try very hard to answer everyone in a timely manner. Unfortunately, it is hard to do so when you are on the phone for about 10 minutes with each customer on average. Please bare with us. Also, please disregard the online booking process as we are having some issues with it. We are not booked up until September. We look forward to speaking with you and hope to see you soon.

Q:

Can you go on this excursion if you have never snorkeled? I would love to take my 9 yr old but neither if us has ever been snorkeling.

Alma S.  asked on  Jun 22, 2013

A:

Most Definitely! This experience is for anyone! We have had anywhere from infant to 91 years old. We offer our customers swimming pool noodles to help keep you afloat while in the water. Your captain will be more than happy to assist you with your mask and snorkel, if you are not comfortable with it then you don't have to wear it. Hope to hear from you!

Q:

Now that we're into summer, are the manatees still present in enough numbers to definitely see manatees during the snorkeling?

Michael S.  asked on  Jun 22, 2013

A:

During summer time we have about 55 manatees that stay in Crystal River that we like to call our "resident" manatees. They are wild animals in their natural habitat so we can not "guarantee" seeing them. But we can tell you that we have very experienced captains that know how to locate them and our luck has been very great so far this summer! We look forward to hearing from you and your family.
