What You'll Get

_Jump to: Reviews Mani-Pedi Fact of the Day_

Choose among three eco-friendly pleasures at Natural Body Spa: aromatherapy massage, signature Natural Body facial, or mani-pedi with all-natural products from Jurlique, AVEDA, Dani, and E.O. Natural Body Spa’s Ashburn location was one of the first LEED spas, and the DC location earned a gold certification from LEED and won the DC Environmental Excellence Award. Plus its owner worked at Whole Foods.

This Groupon includes access to the stress-melting steam room and your choice of Natural Body Spa treatment:

  • 60-Minute Serenity Aromatherapy Massage: Wipe away stress as one of Natural Body’s expert therapists helps you choose the perfect aromatherapy scent and kneads your muscles for ultimate comfort and serenity.
  • 60-Minute Signature Facial: Each personalized facial starts with skin analysis followed by cleansing, toning, steam, and extractions using non-abrasive, seaweed-based products and applied by bolero-playing guitarists. Includes a stress-relieving shoulder, décolleté, and hand massage.
  • Signature Mani-Pedi: Get rid of cuticles, and shape, buff, and polish your nails. The pedicure includes a foot soak for exfoliation.

Natural Body’s four eco-friendly spas scream tranquility in a non-threatening manner with soothing music and serene decor. This Groupon can be used at four locations: DC, Arlington, Ashburn, and Potomac. It also includes free admission to a back-to-school spa party on August 19: learn how to keep teen-skin looking young and beautiful and how to apply all-natural makeup in a safe manner (normally $20, reservations required).

The Washingtonian’s reviewer liked the rub at the Arlington location, and I Am Modern Magazine said its eco-friendliness left them with a clean conscience. > * The Jurlique products smelled very earthy and flowery as they are filled with natural ingredients and herbs. We smelled lavender, calendula, rosemary and other delightful scents. There were no chemicals, no preservatives and nothing artificial about our facial. We felt great and when our time was up, our skin looked great and our conscious was clear, knowing we did little in this hour, to leave behind our carbon footprint. – I Am Modern Magazine > * The new Natural Body Spa in Arlington gets the little things right…I found a professional, efficient staff that was quick to lead me to a quiet waiting area and offer water. Natural Body isn’t a slick modern space but a candlelit New Agey haven heavy on aromatherapy scents and potions….During my massage, my therapist, Allison, actually read the health questionnaire I had filled out—something many spa therapists don’t seem to bother with. After rubbing the kinks out of my back, she draped it with a heated blanket. When I flipped over onto my back, she gently placed on my face a cinnamon-scented eye pillow…Allison’s strokes were very good. – Sherri Dalphonse, The Washingtonian

Yelpers give the DC location an average of four stars: > * Spouse & I visit regularly. Staff is always prompt, friendly and professional from front desk to treatment room. Perhaps the most tranquil day spa environment in DC. Best pedis in DC – done in a peaceful, private room by excellent staff. – DC C. > * Natural Body is the best value spot for a great massage, facial and relaxing atmosphere. Its [sic] my go-to routine pampering spot… They have great specials and the staff is really calm and thoughtful. I usually go for a steam room followed by a massage, esp if I’ve just gotten over a cold, or got laid off (last week!) :( Anyway, the place rocks, and it helps keep me rockin. – angel b. > * I really needed a massage and I heard that the facility was nice. Oh boy was it! I really like the interior and everyone was very nice while I was there. It was spacious and well decorated. They also had a dimly lit lounge area to wait in where they offer you something to drink and snacks like bananas, apples, etc. – Brittney M.

Mani-Pedi Fact of the Day

Contrary to popular belief and science, healthy human nails aren’t supposed to grow. They should remain static, glossy, and the color of your choice. But most of us contracted a disease from playground equipment that makes our nails grow at alarming rates, lose their luster, cease to be our favorite color, and become unattractively translucent. While publicly funded scientists work a great amount of overtime (scientists make time and a half) on a vaccine for this disgusting plague, spas everywhere do their best to keep the epidemic in check and restore the nail to its natural condition. The nail specialists temporarily cure your fingernails and toenails (hence the name manicure and pedicure) in hope that one day science will discover a vaccine. Until then, you’ll have to enjoy discounted mani-pedis and other spa services at the wonderful Natural Body Spa.
