Boycott the bruised, store-bought peaches that keep trying to poison you with their pesticides and cynical outlook on life. Today’s deal fills up the larder with fresh fruits and veggies from Nature’s Garden Delivered. For $15, you get a box of local produce delivered to your doorstep (a $32 value), and you’ll be signed up for a Nature’s Garden Delivered membership (membership is free and you may cancel at any time) to easily keep the good nutrients rolling; customize your preferences for future deliveries once you’ve received your initial box. Delivery is included and there is no sales tax charge, but customers must be within the radius of Nature’s Garden’s Columbus delivery area. Produce boxes are delivered between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. on your selected delivery day, ensuring that the order arrives fresh. Check out the Nature’s Garden site for additional info on how the service works.

Start by choosing a small fruit box, veggie box, or mixed box of both. Each box includes a palate-pleasing assortment of edibles. The contents change each week, depending on what’s in season and how many are pilfered in transit by a hungry moose. Veggie boxes came stocked with in-season grub including baby carrots, green garlic, and radishes. Current fruit selections include red delicious apples, bananas, mangoes, and peaches. Almost all of Nature’s Garden produce is locally grown; owners Isaac Foust and Annalise Appel run a carbon-neutral facility that recycles or composts all of its waste.

A box of fruit, vegetables, or both allows you to escape a preservative- and pesticide-filled life without leaving home or building a protective toffee bodysuit. Your surprise farm-bounty packages will also encourage you to get creative in the kitchen, instead of falling back on your go-to meal of “Hot Pockets dipped in whatever condiments the Chinese place threw in the bag.”

You may call or go online to sign up; online redemption begins 5/28.
