About Negro Leagues Baseball Museum

For over 25 years, the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum has worked to preserve the rich history of African-American baseball. • Eye Catcher: 10 life-sized bronze sculptures of Negro League greats including Satchel Paige, Cool Papa Bell and Josh Gibson each positioned on the Field of Legends, a mock baseball diamond
  • Permanent Exhibits: a collection of galleries divided into sections with themes ranging from the founding of the League in 1920 to the great players who became stars in the majors
  • Traveling Exhibits: touring exhibits include Shades of Greatness, an art exhibition inspired by the history of the League featuring over 35 pieces of original works from local and national artists
