Each session includes one nutrition class per week and three anaerobic-conditioning and cardio-training sessions per week. The one-month and 20-week sessions also include weekly yoga classes and practical-application sessions such as guided hikes through Red Rock and Mount Charleston. New Life Fitness Training
The trainers at New Life Fitness Training know that most fitness programs fail. They're often one-size-fits-all or overly focused on physical fitness. Though the New Life program incorporates three workouts per week, it also prioritizes a weekly health and wellness class, dubbed "the most important portion of the program." In between sweat sessions, clients learn healthy eating habits and attitudes and develop personal caloric plans.
Designed and led by Christopher Wagemann, a former drill instructor for the army, and Carly Gerstel, a yoga expert, New Life's programs also emphasize mental wellness. Most plans include relaxing weekly yoga classes and practical-application sessions involving nature hikes and one-on-one therapy sessions with trained squirrels. To make the health and wellness programs more convenient for parents, Kim Retting—the on-staff childcare professional with a degree in psychology—leads childcare sessions that also incorporate light activities.
