Me and my girlfriend ordered two shrimp po boys The bread was toasted so hard you couldn't eat the bread, asked for a manager and only thing they said was we're sorry didn't even asked if we wanted something else or remake the sandwiches. A horrible experience. Would not recommend to anyone

First off, it was our waitress's first day. She was so nice and attentive. Got a coffee drink and wife got a white Russian. Wife said it was the closet to the best one she's ever had...high five'd the waitress. Got the crab cake, appetizer shrimp and the Redfish Pontchartrain. Best crab cake ever! Crispy on the outside with grandma's biscuit size of crab bout 3" high! Crazy!!! Redfish is expensive but delicious! The veggies were perfect! Great time, great food!

So disappointed. We got there and the food came in 5 minutes. The food was horrible. I asked for a bread for my pasta and the waiter gave us a piece of old baguette, hard, cold and old. The drinks and service were good. Should have noticed when other restaurants had lines and here you could walk right in.

Food was delicious, but I think the wait staff was having an off night. It's worth a try.

About New Orleans Creole Cookery

For a taste of New Orleans cuisine and history under one roof, look no further than New Orleans Creole Cookery. Housed in a historic French Quarter building—and also the rumored home of three resident ghosts—the restaurant is the newest venture from the Tusa family, who's legacy in the NOLA cooking scene can be traced all the way back to 1945.

Today, they're keeping tradition alive with their authentic Creole cuisine—a distinctly New Orleans style of cooking that blends French, Spanish, and African influences. Blackened redfish is a house specialty, though the menu also incorporates everything from spice-stuffed jambalaya to oysters on the half shell, with a wide spectrum of pastas, lobster dishes, sausages, and grilled shellfish in between. And, of course, there's a full menu of cocktails, perfect for sipping on the restaurant's patio or in the elegant, main dining room—especially on a night when live jazz musicians are in attendance.
