I was disappointed. We went a few years ago and everything was amazing, sadly I cannot say that was my experience this time. The etoufee was cold. The waitress was not attentive. She did not even bring us our drinks. We had finished our meal by the time we got our beverages.

My Husband and I ate there and we were so satisfied with the food as well as our kind waitress. I ordered the fried oyster plate and they were cooked to perfection; lightly battered and delicious. Hubby ordered the redfish lightly battered and fried with lump crab meat on top. I highly recommend this restaurant.

About New Orleans Creole Cookery

For a taste of New Orleans cuisine and history under one roof, look no further than New Orleans Creole Cookery. Housed in a historic French Quarter building—and also the rumored home of three resident ghosts—the restaurant is the newest venture from the Tusa family, who's legacy in the NOLA cooking scene can be traced all the way back to 1945.

Today, they're keeping tradition alive with their authentic Creole cuisine—a distinctly New Orleans style of cooking that blends French, Spanish, and African influences. Blackened redfish is a house specialty, though the menu also incorporates everything from spice-stuffed jambalaya to oysters on the half shell, with a wide spectrum of pastas, lobster dishes, sausages, and grilled shellfish in between. And, of course, there's a full menu of cocktails, perfect for sipping on the restaurant's patio or in the elegant, main dining room—especially on a night when live jazz musicians are in attendance.
